My cinematic language
Our brain records everything seen, heard and felt but what matters more are emotions. The more intense, the longer and deeper they are engraved in our minds and, sometimes, never forgotten. Is it at all surprising that experiences which fail to trigger any emotional reaction pass by without maintaining interest? Your info clip, commercial, documentary, series, movie or corporate video must generate emotions in your audience. In fact, this is exactly what every human being seems to seek throughout their entire lives. What emotions do the images arouse? What do the colors suggest? How does the lighting inspire you? What do the sonic vibrations stir inside you? How do the movements make you feel? What's the message behind it all? Emotion is a bottle and the message needs to be put inside before being tossed into the sea, en route to reaching its recipient, otherwise, it would be forever lost. I love to find the perfect bottle for each message to reach its destination. |
Without a single doubt, what's most exciting for me is the complexity of the project which often seems hard to achieve. An ambitious project is my ultimate source of motivation and stimulates my overactive imagination. I have an innate gift for finding the essence that will inspire my audience. This is often not by intention, but it's rather an uncontrollable instinct to unleash my mind and the result of which is an assault of boundless creativity. I didn't exactly choose this profession but it has certainly chosen me and I'm already dreaming of directing some new project... can't wait any longer.
